If by someone the mask isn't showing but working, then it is maybe because the X-Ray mode is still on. One has to switch it off to view the mask.

When I am applying my subdivision modifier on either icing or the donut I just can not grab the vertex, instead whole icing or donut is moving around Please help!!

I got completely stuck on scale. Blender was lagging so slowly that it took forever and when I went to apply scale. It didn't scale the icing. I guess I'll try an start over. Sigh.

How come when i duplicate my donut, and try to move it along the x-axis, it goes downwards and then clips through the plane? but then stop at the halfway point of the donut. So basically only the icing is above the plane

Instead of Using "Rotate Euler" and rotating the sprinkles beforehand. Use "Rotate Rotation", plug "Combine XYZ" into "Rotate By", set X to 90, plug "Random Value" into Y and Z and set it to float, lastly play around with the "MIN" and "MAX" values until it looks good.

Ok, I've reached the point with the collections and I'm kind of proud that I've been doing that from the beginning. Professionally working with Creo has taught me the value of a clean model tree via groups in assemblies or in large plates with thousands of holes so I just unconciously started putting things in collections. I pathologically name all my KEs and groups so I can tell how I changed things just by looking at my model tree.

Gonna have to get used to that whole making things imperfect thing, cause my Creo using technical product designer brain was screaming at me the whole time. It was telling me the to make all my numbers as even as possible and deforming the donut almost caused me physical pain. In technical drawing / modelling you make something theoretically perfect and then essentially give parameters / tolerances how close to that perfection the object has to be when it is actually produced. So very much the opposite of the "imperfection is the new perfection" thing 3D artists tend to have.

Every time I try to press G and select an axis (Z for example, like at the beginning of this video) I get not an absolute axis but kind of "the relative to my screen" axis.. And when I move my object it just goes "deeper" relatively to my screen, and not higher in the world space.. what am I doing wrong?
